My Story

When I was a child my parents can't afford to enroll me in any swimming lessons. I didn't learn until I taught myself to swim at Geylang East Swimming Complex at the age of 9 years old with my peers. After drinking plenty of pool water, splashing and playing around, I became a better swimmer than most of my peers, as I was more buoyant than them. Therefore I should say that I learn to swim in a hard way, as there was nobody to guide me. Since then, swimming became a major part of my childhood activities.

I have pursued my involvement in teaching swimming for over many years where I developed a specialty with students who have Fear Problems and Special Needs. It is especially gratifying when I see a student overcome a real fear problem, psychological hang-up or other challenge. The look on their face (and their parents) is one of sheer adoration and hero worship. Since then teaching swimming is part of my life and I still enjoy it till now.

My objective and mission is to train all my students from a beginner in swimming up to a lifesaver swimmer that develop them with the correct ethical values, so that they can contribute to the society in future.
